The Bob Jones University Museum & Gallery, recognized as one of America's finest collections of Italian paintings, is praised for its thorough presentation of the development of Western culture through paintings of the Old Masters. Located in Greenville, South Carolina, and housed on the campus of Bob Jones University, the Museum & Gallery displays Italian, Spanish, French, English, Flemish, Dutch, and German sacred art from the 14th through the 19th centuries in over 25 galleries.

The Greenville County Museum of Art offers its visitors a way to sample the very best in American art through traveling exhibitions and exhibitions drawn from its own collection. The Museum's respected Southern Collection is a survey of American art from colonial times to the present, with an emphasis on examples with relationships to the southern United States.

Table Rock Mountain provides a towering backdrop for an upcountry retreat at the edge of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Table Rock State Park features two lakes, a campground, mountain cabins, meeting facilities and its historic, renovated lodge. The park has been one of South Carolina’s most popular since it was built by the Civilian Conservation Corps in the 1930s. Many of its structures are now on the National Register of Historic Places.

The $4.5 million Liberty Bridge does more than span the Reedy River -- it serves as the focal point of Falls Park , showcasing man’s creativity alongside nature’s beauty. The bridge is 355-feet long, 12-feet wide, has a horizontal curve radius of 214-feet and 90-foot towers weighing 26 tons each.

Furman University is the oldest, largest and most selective private institution in South Carolina. Founded in 1826, Furman moved three times in its early years before being charted as Furman University and settling in Greenville in 1850. The most recent move was in 1961, when Furman relocated to its current 800-acre location on the outskirts of Greenville.

Everyone loves the zoo, and this facility in Cleveland Park never fails to please. With hundreds of residents, there's an attraction for everyone, whether it's farm animals or creatures from more exotic backgrounds. The habitats mimic each animal's natural environment, so kids can see how they live in the wild. The reptile collection is perfect for those fascinated by dinosaurs, and Joy the elephant is the well-loved mascot of the zoo.  
"Shoeless" Joe Jackson Memorial Ball Park

"Shoeless" Joe Jackson, a celebrated baseball player of the early 1900s, gained renewed fame in the movie, "Field of Dreams." This park commemorates the Greenville native's career and his title as "The World's Greatest Slugger." Although his batting average ranked as third-best of all time, it wasn't enough to prevent Joe's banishment from baseball during the infamous scandal of the Chicago "Black Sox."

 
Campbell's Covered Bridge

At Gowensville, take SC 14 south for 2.2 miles and then turn right on SC 414. Go another 1.1 miles and turn left on Pleasant Hill RD. Go another four-tenths of a mile and turn right on Campbell`s Bridge RD. A quarter mile down is South Carolina`s only remaining covered bridge. It was built in 1909 and remains well preserved.

Greenville's first church occupies a park-like setting in the midst of downtown. The brick sanctuary, built in the early 19th century, adapts Gothic style in the vernacular. Now listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the church is available for tours with advance notice. In its quiet cemetery lie the remains of Vardry McBee, Greenville's founding father.
